Dear Reader,The Timber Creek K-9 mystery series was conceived in a veterinary clinic and born at my kitchen table. One of my husband's clients told him about the problem of drug smuggling through Colorado's national forests, which created backdrop for KILLING TRAIL. My past experiences assisting my husband and training dogs helped me develop the characters Mattie, Robo, and Cole as they chase down a smuggling ring.
