Lady Olympia Wherlocke is a strong-minded, strong-willed woman. She's used to living on her own and being her own woman. Then she finds herself dragged into the darkness of Lord Brant Mallam's life. He's an emotionally-scarred man who hasn't handled that scarring well. I felt it was a good idea to bring him a woman who had the strength to pull him out of the morass he'd sunk himself into.
