My first novel, PRECIOUS, was critically acclaimed and named a Booklist Top Ten Debut of 2009. Now, in my new collection of stories, EVERYONE BUT YOU (on sale September 13, 2011), I explore the dramatic relationships among wives, children, husbands, and friends, all struggling to connect to one another. In "Cerulean Skies," a woman must come to terms with her husband's new obsession with painting. Two college professors deal with the fallout from their divorce in "The Thin Border Between Here and Disaster," and a boy wrestles with his faith after the death of his mother in "Morty, El Morto."
