Drawing "apt comparisons to early Barbara Kingsolver" (Booklist), THE ROAD TO ENCHANTMENT was inspired by my experiences among the incredible people and landscape on a Jicarilla Apache reservation.

Alone, pregnant, and mourning her mother's sudden death, Willow returns to her childhood home in rural New Mexico, where she grew up an outsider. As she clears up the hardscrabble vineyard, and reconnects with the land — and herself — Willow learns the Apache community there seems to think she belongs more than she ever thought. Soon, "home" doesn't seem so out of reach after all.
