Dear Reader:
I love hot dogs. Topped with ketchup. Or mustard. Or even chili. So when I heard on the radio that Americans eat two billion hot dogs every July, I was hooked. I had to know more.
What I discovered amazed me. I learned that the hot dog came to America from Germany. I found out that when Americans bought hot dogs from street carts, they often burned their fingers because the dogs weren't originally sold with buns. And, I read that hot dogs were first eaten in space in 1969 by the astronauts who were the first to walk on the moon. The more I learned, the more I knew I had to write HOT DIGGITY DOG: THE HISTORY OF THE HOT DOG.
I'm giving away signed copies of HOT DIGGITY DOG: THE HISTORY OF THE HOT DOG, picked from random entries. For your chance to win, visit www.adriennesylver.com. Also, please friend me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/.
Happy reading...and eating!
