Dear Librarians,

My writing began many years ago in the downtown library in Charlotte, NC where I devoured books of all kinds, in wonder at a place that would let you take books... for free! As the child of a single mom, free was a good word and the library quickly became—and remains—one of my favorite places. When I walk into the library in my little town of Matthews, NC I say it's like Cheers—it's the place where "everybody knows my name." With that said, sharing SHE MAKES IT LOOK EASY with you is a dream come true for me. I hope you will share this story of women's friendships, the danger of pedestals and the value of being real with those women who come into your library. Thank you for all you do to make reading possible for bibliophiles like me.
