Dear Librarians,

Some ideas are born out of pure creativity; others are birthed out of real-life experiences. STARS COLLIDE is a combination of both. In 1979, my father moved our family to Los Angeles so that he could get into the movie business. He put me to work co-authoring a screenplay, which was later made into a movie. During that exciting time (at the tender age of 19) I joined the Screenwriter's Guild. Boy, did I have a lot to learn! My father went on to do great things, both as a producer and writer. When I came up with the idea for STARS COLLIDE, I knew that I had to dedicate this project to him. I hope my readers enjoy this humorous, yet tender peek into the life of my fictional characters—Kat, Scott, Lenora and the rest of the STARS COLLIDE cast. May they be as real to you as they have become to me.
