Tattoos, rogue teenagers, the exhaustion of new motherhood, are all explored in SHOUT HER LOVELY NAME a collection focused on the intense love and sandpaper relationship between daughters and mothers. 

In a suite of stories at the center of SHOUT HER LOVELY NAME, we follow flawed, free-loving Ruby Hargrove—an adopter of strays, both cats and men—and her steadfast daughter, Nora.  The two scrutinize, criticize and inspire one another on their quixotic path from Florida to New York to California.
