Dear Librarians,

I have a secret. I wrote A TEXAN'S PROMISE for myself. When I started the book, I was under deadline and feeling stressed. Every day I would sit at my computer and worry. I knew I had to do something so I decided to write a western.

I wrote most of A TEXAN'S PROMISE in my spare time. I made up Clayton Proffitt and gave him a heroine who I hoped was worthy. Then I gave them a great adventure, and threw in a bad guy just to keep things interesting.

I sincerely hope you will enjoy this novel, the book of my heart.
