What's it like when the man you married is married...to God? That's the question that stayed with me after I wrote an article about pastors' wives for Time magazine, where I was a staff writer. The result is my debut novel, PASTORS' WIVES, about three women married to pastors at an evangelical megachurch. It's told in their alternating viewpoints: Ruthie, the skeptical outsider; Candace, the senior pastor's fierce and fabulous wife; Ginger, the meek wife hiding a sordid past.
