John Fulton
Dear Reader,
As an adolescent, I worked in a biomedical laboratory, feeding and cleaning up after the sheep and dogs used in scientific experiments. That experience haunted me for years and became the seed for the title novella of THE ANIMAL GIRL, the story of a young woman grieving the loss of her mother and striking out against the senseless death she sees in the lab where she works. When she falls in love with a research scientist, the story takes some unforeseen and frightening turns.
All the stories in my new book explore the collision of love and grief and how it alters people in unexpected ways. The Boston Globe has called me "a relative newcomer" who "writes like an old master" and Elle has called my fiction "dynamic" and "delicately quirky." If you'd like to learn more, visit my website at www.JohnFulton.net, where I'll be giving away five copies of THE ANIMAL GIRL.
All Best,
John Fulton
