Laura Caldwell

Dear Reader,

In my newest novel, an international thriller called A GOOD LIAR, a Chicago woman find outs that her new husband isn't who he seems and starts to suspect that the best friend who set them up is not the person she pretends to be either. In writing the story, I stumbled across a real-life cover-up in US history, a CIA operation called the Phoenix Program which was classified until 1982. The Phoenix Program forms the backdrop for my novel, which races from New York to Russia, from a romantic French Canadian town to Brazil.

Two of my favorite writers- New York Times bestseller, James Rollins, and Ken Bruen, the internationally acclaimed crime writer-read THE GOOD LIAR in manuscript form.

Ken Bruen said, "We haven't had a top notch female thriller writer.  Until now. Laura Caldwell's, THE GOOD LIAR is a massive achievement, in one novel launching a woman right up there with the top thriller writers around."

James Rollins said, THE GOOD LIAR strikes like an assassin's bullet: sudden, swift, precise, deadly... a taut international thriller certain to keep readers breathless and awake until the wee hours of the morning.  Not to be missed."

I'll be giving away eight signed copies of A GOOD LIAR. To enter, just visit my website, www.LauraCaldwell.com, and drop me an email.

Best,
Laura Caldwell
