Margaret Ahnert
Dear Reader,
I wrote THE KNOCK AT THE DOOR to tell the story of how my mother survived the Armenian genocide and came to America. I wanted to take readers beyond the statistics and add a human voice to the discussion of the horrific events that led to the deaths of more than one million Armenians starting in 1915.
I always found my mother’s positive outlook to be a testament to the power of the human spirit, and even though she faced unbelievable hardship, her strong will to survive always prevailed.
I hope you’ll visit my website, www.margaretahnert.com, where you’ll find more information about the book and me. I’ll send signed copies of my book to five people who email me at Margaret@margaretahnert.com and mention this note.
My heartfelt thanks to you. I sincerely appreciate your interest in my story.
Best wishes,
Margaret Ahnert
