Dana Haynes

Dear Librarian,

I have always been fascinated by thrillers like The Andromeda Strain, which rely on smart people working hard, rather than fists or guns.

That's how I got started on CRASHERS, which tells the story of a team of investigators called together after a jetliner slams into the ground. It includes a pathologist, engineers, pilots and experts in bombs and black boxes. Normally, they have months to solve the mystery. This time, they have hours. Because the first crash was a test.

And the next target is already airborne.

Oh, and don't worry, it's still a thriller, so your library patrons will find plenty of fists and guns, along with a renegade Israeli spy, a terrorist cell and a sociopath actually working within the crash team.

CRASHERS was a blast to write! I hope it does well on your shelves.
